COURSE DETAILS:
Japanese lessons Monday to Friday, 9AM - 12:30PM
Learn the language and culture in an authentic Japanese classroom with our young passionate teachers
The course is focused on learning practical conversational Japanese to help prepare you for real life situations
Organised activities/events after classes to practice what you have learned in class in real life
Many opportunities to immerse in the culture and
to interact with the locals
SAMPLE ACTIVITIES:
Farmstay
Meet the locals, experience and learn about their way of life.
Cook meals together and laugh all night long!
Visit hidden onsens
Soak in the wonderful hot springs.
Tea Ceremony + Kimono/yukata
Learn the ancient practice and appreciate the moment in the beautiful samurai house, and enjoy delicious Japanese sweets.
Meet & interact with local high school students
A special opportunity for exchanging conversation and making friends.
Hot pot night with local students and neighbours!
Many community events organised!
Pottery Class
Make your own hand-made creation at the local pottery club.
Kiritanpo Festival
A local festival with delicious kiritanpo (pounded rice), which originated in Akita.
Meet the Akita dogs!
Calligraphy Class
Learn to write beautiful kanji
Bicycle riding
Enjoy the fresh air and take in the wonderful surrounding rivers and mountains~
Bicycles provided to students 24/7 free of charge.
Some electric bikes available to help whiz up any hills!
Geisha/Maiko Experience
Feel time slow down and enjoy the traditional performance.
Rail park ride
Have fun on the rail bikes!
Kabuki Theatre
Tour one of Japan’s oldest kabuki theatres
Visit local thrift shops
Japan’s thrift shops are super clean and hidden gems are waiting to be found!
