Rice Planting Course (May Only)

2-Week Japanese Language & Cultural Immersion Program

Akita is one of Japan's most famous rice-producing regions. Home to the well-known Akita Komachi rice brand, it is truly a prefecture built around rice culture.

During mid to late May, local farmers begin rice planting season. The scenery is breathtaking—rice fields filled with crystal-clear water reflecting the surrounding mountains, while newly planted rows of rice stretch across the countryside.

And of course, the rice is amazing. Many people say that once you've tasted rice in Akita, it's difficult to enjoy ordinary rice the same way again!

This special two-week course is available only during rice planting season and includes unique activities that can only be experienced in May.
